This is definitely not a home away from home! Terrible experience , so disappointing.
Place was dirty upon check in. Rachel stated all she could do was replace sheets , sweep up bugs, and would refund cleaning fee. I declined because mattress pads were dirty as well as comforters. Rachel could only do so much and said I would have to see Mary the next day in office. Such an inconvenience, I have three kids, they were grossed out and we all were uncomfortable.
We didn’t even stay at the place Saturday night.
Sunday I received a text stating Mary wouldn’t be in office but I could call her. She never answered yet sent texts throughout the day. So much miscommunication, housekeeping didn’t leave the place until 5pm. Place still not cleaned thoroughly , bugs were determined to be carpet beetles. Although harmless still gross because it should be cleaned up! Also hair ball still in drawer. The mattress pads and sheets were changed but not comforters , we just didn’t use them .
They only gave $75 refund which is ridiculous given what we went through. I requested a full refund and that was denied. Housekeeping did a terrible job. I will never rent from Vacasa again.
Save your self money and time and book elsewhere. When on vacation you should be comfortable and enjoy yourself not be upset, uncomfortable, or stressed.

⭐ 1 Star – Horrific Experience Managed by Vacasa
We recently stayed at condo 902 Goergetowne in Sea Colony (June 21–26), a property managed by Vacasa, and the experience was an absolute nightmare. For $4,200, we expected a relaxing beach vacation. What we got was a dangerous, sweltering disaster.
• Indoor temps of 85–89° every night.
• My 1-year-old developed heat rash and had to sleep nearly naked.
• Filthy floors, broken balcony furniture, flipped box springs, backward washer plumbing.
• Electrical panel emitting a burning smell.
• HVAC technician confirmed the air unit was too small for the condo.
Vacasa’s response? Pathetic. A maintenance tech who was completely ineffective, followed by a $100 refund and half the cleaning fee—not even compensation for the air conditioning failure, just for delayed support. Their indifference was staggering.
I’ve been staying at Sea Colony for 15 years and have never experienced such neglect. Vacasa clearly prioritizes profit over people, and I wouldn’t trust them to manage a cardboard box, let alone a vacation home.
Avoid Vacasa at all costs. They knowingly rent out properties in disrepair, offer insulting compensation, and leave families to suffer with zero accountability

AVOID VACASA in Sea Colony!! They are LIARS!! We were told mold coming out of vent onto wall was “ not mold but dust”, refrigerator never worked- we had to throw away all perishables on day 3. Filthy floors, gross area rugs & floor mats, ants crawling everywhere in kitchen. Not one human called us back after we repeatedly went to office and left messages.. ROBOTS answer and leave you texts. Please they need to GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!
