Getting a room with the bay view is a must. Gorgeous view from sun up to sun down. The area is adorable with a sandy spot to sit in the shade and a dock to walk on. Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was fine, I was nervous with some reviews but we didn't have any issues. The area with the bay didn't smell of pee or anything. (We pottied our dog out front to the side in an area for it). Most things are within walking distance.

Stayed at The Bay Resort for the first time last summer after deciding to do a last-minute beach trip instead of our usual vacation house rental, and overall we had a really nice stay. The location is one of the best parts. It’s close to everything, only about two blocks from the beach, and right near Bottle & Cork which is great if you enjoy concerts and nightlife. We stayed in room 219 with a pool view, and I loved being able to sit out on our private patio and still keep an eye on my son while he swam. It was also at the end in the corner which gave us a little more privacy. That’s honestly one of the main reasons I already booked another stay for this summer. A lot of hotels nearby don’t offer individual patios for each room. The bay area itself was also really nice to relax at. My son had fun looking for crabs by the dock, and they had outdoor games like a giant Connect 4 and Hook & Ring game that kept him entertained for quite awhile. The rooms are a decent size, but I do think they could use some updating. Most hotels and resorts now have LVP flooring, while these rooms still have carpet. Also, the bay does have a bit of a funky smell at times, which honestly made me glad we chose the pool view instead of the bay view. The only other downside is there’s no breakfast offered, but the rooms do give you the opportunity to make simple meals yourself. Overall though, for the location, private patios, and family-friendly atmosphere, we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back this summer.
Also the parking can be a little tight and tricky to maneuver and fills up quickly. I hope they eventually add a few more ADA accessible parking spots because they are slim to none.

I checked into this bayside property hoping for a relaxing coastal getaway because the location is honestly amazing, sitting right on the water and just a quick walk from the beach. Sitting out on the dock to watch the sunset was definitely the highlight of my time here. However, my actual room left a lot to be desired. The space felt very outdated, the carpet had a strange musty smell, and the cleanliness standards were definitely lacking. It is a shame because the staff is incredibly friendly and the area is great, but the rooms really need some serious deep cleaning and modern updates before I would consider staying again.
